Il progetto Nasomatto descrive Absinth come un profumo che «aims to evoke degrees of hysteria» e che è «the result of a quest to stimulate irresponsible behaviour»; la narrazione ufficiale lo presenta quindi come un lavoro deliberatamente provocatorio, centrato su eccesso, perdita di controllo e comportamento irresponsabile.
